 FALF Awards are open to all Fellows regardless of academic rank.

Nomination Process

Nominations must indicate a specific award category. Nominations must be supported by a written description of why the nominee deserves consideration for the specified award. Self-nominations are acceptable. All nominations must be submitted by the due date.

FALF seeks to develop a pipeline of South African, African and Africans of mixed ancestry female academic leaders in tertiary institutions (Chancellor’s Fellows).

 This initiative was informed by the slow racial and gender transformation at leadership level in tertiary institutions nationally, especially when it comes to black females.
